Effective Home Remedies For Dry Hair

Dry and damaged hair is another problem that makes you lose more hair. In addition, dry hair is also accompanied by dandruff. Dandruff is the skin flakes which shed from the scalp. It sheds entrapping hair follicles causing more hair fall and damage to the hair as well as scalp. Dry hair easily becomes frizzy and unmanageable.

Hair, which does not have enough moisture to maintain normal shine and texture, is termed as dry hair. Hair is made up of three layers. The outer layer is meant to protect inner layers. When the outer layer is damaged, it causes dry and dull hair. Hair follicles are connected to sebaceous glands, which discharge oil onto hair shaft. It is believed that person having dry skin may have a problem of dry hair. Hair becomes dry when natural treatment from hair is removed during activities, like sunbathing, swimming in chlorinated water, overuse of hair dryers, and other styling products. Women and men of any age can develop the problem of dry hair.                
                                             
Sesame Oil

Sesame oil is excellent nourishing oil. As it is rich in vitamins and minerals, it helps in strengthening hair and increasing blood circulation in the scalp. Simply mix one tablespoon each of root juice, lemon juice, and sesame oil. Apply this mixture on the scalp and hair. Wrap your head with a hot towel. After half an hour, rinse with shampoo.

Egg Yolk

We all known that egg yolk is full of fat and so it is good for dry hair. They contain high amount of protein that strengthened and repair damaged hair strands. Eggs are also a usual kitchen item and it requires no extra effort and money to use this remedy. Separate 2 egg yolks in a bowl, beat them thoroughly to make a smooth paste.You can also add olive oil to enhance its moisturizing qualities.

Use Hot Oil

Hair-care professionals often recommend hot-oil treatments to repair dry, damaged hair. Over-the-counter hot-oil products are available that you heat and place on the hair for 5 to 20 minutes (according to package instructions). Wear a plastic bag or shower cap over your hair while the hot oil is on, then wash the hair thoroughly with a gentle shampoo.

Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise remedy for hair breakage is a treat to the hair too! Once a week, work up enough mayonnaise into your scalp and work your way through to the end of each strand, and let it sit for a good half an hour, before you wash it off. The longer you leave it on, the better. The mayonnaise will penetrate into your hair and both condition and strengthen each strand. This means less hair breakage.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a wonder plant rich in enzymes, minerals, vitamins and fatty acids. It acts as an excellent conditioner that helps in restoring the sheen and shine of your hair. It strengthens your hair and makes it soft.After shampooing, apply aloe vera gel all over your hair and leave it for couple of minutes. Wash it off just like a normal conditioner. Follow this for few months and you will see soft and damage free hair.
