Top 5 Beauty Benefits Of Vodka

Vodka is a very popular drink all over the world and around Europe is seen as a drink which can be consumed often and without any inhibitions. Apart from being a wonderful and refreshing drink with a high alcoholic content, it provides amazing health benefits as well. Take a look at the major health benefits of Vodka and why you should be drinking it more often.

Those vodka cranberries, that's what. But believe it or not, vodka is good at more things than just being the main component in a dirty martini. That crystal clear liquid that so many of us mix into the beverages does, in fact, have beauty benefits just not necessarily from drinking it.

Clear skin

A DIY for clear skin care is easy to whip up. Brew a cup of green tea and when it cools, add half teaspoon vodka. Dip a cotton ball in this mixture and apply on your face. The vodka tightens while the green tea soothes on account of the catechins it contains. Together they help clear up your skin. To reduce wrinkles, simply take a tablespoon each of vodka, fennel seeds and honey. Mix all three ingredients. Then apply on face, leave on for about 20 minutes and wash off for a smooth complexion.

Dirty Scalp

Dirty Scalp When your scalp is too dirty, mix 2 teaspoons of vodka in a teaspoon of shampoo and massage your scalp well. Your scalp will be totally clean and devoid of the dirt and healthy oil.

As Mouthwash

Vodka also comes handy as a mouthwash because of its ability to fight bacterial infection. Gargle your mouth with some vodka (remember not to swallow). People with greater sensitivity should dilute the vodka with equal amount of mint oil.

Hair Loss

Mix a few drops of honey to a few drops of onion paste. Now add 10 ml of vodka to that mixture and massage your scalp with it. Wash it off after 2 hours.

Gleaming tresses+

It turns out that the low pH level that vodka has and the fact that it’s naturally acidic can help reduce the high pH level found in your strands. In addition, it can close the hair cuticle and hence, reduces frizz, making your hair appear soft and shiny. The easiest way is to add a little vodka (10 ml) to a bottle of conditioner. Shake well and use once a week as you would normal conditioner.
