The Best Home Remedies For Black Spots

Almost all of us have some or the other kind of dark spots on the face. While some of us may have smaller and lesser visible black spots, some people have bigger patches and highly visible areas of dark spots on the face. Dark spots are also known as freckles, sunspots, age spots etc. and are caused by excess exposure of the skin to the sun. Pollution and chemicals also play a role in this, but the main factor behind dark spots is over exposure to the harmful rays of the sun. These spots are very hard to remove and medical treatments are not always helpful either.

Dark spots formation is a common skin problem seen the people many young adults. It is also called as hyper pigmentation. When your skin is exposed to the sun, the melanocytes cell production increases resulting in skin darkening. The color of black spots may vary from light brown to red or slightly blackish in color. These black spots usually tend to appear on various parts of body that are exposed to the sun such as face, back, neck, hands, shoulders and scalp. Dark brown skin patches and freckles are formed due to sun damage.                                                  

Lemon

Lemon works as a natural treatment bleach for the skin. It contains vitamin C, which lightens the black spots and provides you a clear and healthy skin. Apply the juice of one lemon on your skin directly, and let it stay on for a few minutes, before rinsing it off with water. Over a period of time you will see the black spots disappearing into thin air.

Aloe vera 

Aloe vera gel has so many minerals and vitamins which helps achieving a spotless skin by getting rid of the black marks spots and dark spots from the face. Take some fresh aloe vera gel and apply it on the face. Daily application of aloe vera gel on the face will help lighten the black marks and spots.

Honey

Honey is a natural resource for treating dark facial spots. It has several skin-renewing properties. It can be heated and applied alone or mixed with wheat germ or milk for more effective skin-lightening effect.You can also make a face pack of honey and yoghurt. This pack is a natural bleaching agent that will help fade acne spots. Another pack can be made of 1 teaspoon honey, 2 teaspoon yoghurt and 1 teaspoon oatmeal. Apply it for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water.

Papaya

The enzymes in papaya can help even out skin tone and aid in fading black spots. For example, papaya contains papain, an enzyme that exfoliates the skin care encouraging production of new, fresher-looking skin. There are two ways that you can use papaya. Apply the pulp of ripe papaya to the skin and leave it on for about 20 minutes; then rinse it off.Another option is to grate green papaya and add lime juice to it. Apply this mixture to black spots and allow it to sit for 15 minutes before rinsing it off.

White Vinegar

This not just prevents acne but is also a great cure for hyper-pigmentation! Mix one teaspoon of this with one spoon of water and use a cotton to dab it on your dark spots. Leave it on for 10 – 15 minutes and then wash off with cool water.
